All of my new residents look tired and in need of some rest and relaxation. A few of them traveled in from out of town. On their first night here , I had noticed a few of them sleeping on the couch and the recliner. Looks like they don't want to share the double bed as of yet. So, I decided to trade in the double bed for two single beds . I want them to feel comfortable here in their new home. After all it is the
Healey House.

My first
patients name is Jaws. He seems like a very friendly guy. Between you and me, that is a very odd name. But, that's what he wants us to call him than who am I to judge.
He mostly keeps to himself
alot. And is content laying in bed, daydreaming his worries away .I guess he is a recluse of sorts. I will have to try to encourage him participate in some of our planned group sessions. I plan on doing a day trip now and then. Maybe to the park or the Roller Rink.
CJ is our resident comedian. And he just loves to play the violin and to tell jokes in the recreation room. Sometimes he plays the violin all night. You would think he would tire after awhile. He seems to get along really well with all the residents . Nothing ever seems to bother him.
Hmm.. It makes me wonder why he needs to be here in the first place. He is a mystery to me.
I think must have been a private investigator. Or something like that.
I see him watching all the residents. I will to investigate his background.

Kim seems a bit reclusive or maybe she is just shy. Her passion is the computer and a bear she brought with her . She loves to play video games all night and to chat . And she loves nature, collecting butterflies and bird watching. She has become very fond of our pets. So, I have given her the responsibilities of it's needs. I am hoping this will bring her out of her shell.

DD is our fitness guru. He is always beefing up his muscles on the fitness bar. He sometimes exercises all day, that can't be healthy. And he also loves to cook in the kitchen. And he helps out around the house with all of the cleaning chores when needed. I am very hesitant on them doing any cooking. Or anything with fire right now.
I think DD needed a rest from his previous job as a scientist. Other than his obsessive need to exercise he seems good. I foresee him not needing to stay here for very long.

Nancy is the residents favorite person to talk to. She gets along very well with everyone and helps out around the house. I am not sure what her background is yet. I get the impression it has to do with her boyfriend, Joe. She tends to cry a lot and is very sad . I will have to get to know her better before I invite him over.
She has become very fond of our new
womrat and bird.
Forgive me, I have forgotten what they named them...

Oh yes Dilbert and Pickles.....
Simpy is very outgoing. Her favorite thing to do, is to dance to the stereo and to practice the violin (when
CJ isn't playing it). All in all she seems the
saddest of all of them. She spends most of her time staying up all night dancing to the stereo and reading.
From what I found out she's in show business and hasn't been able to find any new roles.
Rumor has it that she is bit of a Diva . She insists on being all glam with her green beads she wears all the time. I suspect it was because of all that attitude and her demands is why she hasn't had a part in a very long time.

Sonia is one of our shy ones. Her passion is to do the cooking.
Hmmm....not so sure if I trust them to cook just yet. I will have to keep my eye on this one. She looks like she is ready explode any minute. All of those pent up emotions bursting to come out. No background on her at all.

I will try to prepare some meals for them before I leave for work . Hopefully we won't have any kitchen fires while I am away. Maybe some of Grandma's soup will soothe their first day here.

First thing I must do is find a job. Someone needs to pay the bills around here.
I looked through the help wanted ads and found a job at a school as a school monitor. It doesn't pay much but at least it will buy the groceries. I have a feeling we will be going through a lot of food.

My first day at work went rather well. I met a really nice man named Vice. He lives in the neighborhood just a few streets over from our house. He is a bachelor and lives alone. Maybe I will invite him over for dinner to meet my residents. He seems lonely too.

And I also met another co worker named
Joset, she also lives alone. Her and Vice are very good friends and live on the same street.

Maybe I will start a vegetable garden in the backyard and take away the basketball court. We already have some nice fruit trees to make fresh juice.
No one seems to use the basketball court much anyways. Trying to get them outside is a chore. Kim is the only one who ventures outside for some fresh air. Maybe if I make it more inviting they will spend more time outside.

Tune in next time for Week Two.....Residents getting acquainted.
